516 Disadvantaged Children Learned Water Safety in 2012

Swim CentralWe are proud to announce that 516 disadvantaged children from Collier County preschools learned water safety in 2012 through our Swim Central program.

The Collier County SWIM Central Program is funded by generous contributions from 21st Century Oncology. The spirit of philanthropy demonstrated by 21st Century Oncology has helped these disadvantaged children learned water safety.  Water safety lessons have been proven to decrease the risk of a child being a victim of a non- fatal or fatal drowning. Swim Central provides access to these lessons for children who might otherwise never have such an opportunity.

The more children who learn this lifesaving skill, the more likely we can reduce the number of drowning incidents in Collier County.
