On Monday, the NCH Safe & Healthy Children’s Coalition was once again named a beneficiary of the Naples Children & Education Foundation.
The 2016 Naples Winter Wine Festival raised $11.1 million dollars, $6.6 million of which will be divided out across 31 local nonprofit organizations to serve our county’s at-risk, underprivileged children.
This funding will directly support SWIM Central, a ten day water safety program that targets the early childhood age group of Collier County. To date, nearly 3,000 children have completed the program, learning imperative life saving skills to combat the leading cause of death for ages 1 through 4 county and statewide.
In addition to the $52,000 awarded to the Coalition, the NCH Healthcare System has generously agreed to a dollar for dollar match of this amount to further support the Coalition’s efforts in drowning prevention.
We are tremendously honored for the generosity of NCEF and NCH. Without it, our program would not be the success that it is.
