WLSL – Collier County Sets a New Guinness World Record for the largest Swimming Lesson Ever Conducted – At a Single Venue!


It is with a great pleasure to inform you that in addition to breaking the record for the most lessons participants throughout the world, we officially broke the Guinness World record for the largest swimming lesson ever conducted – at a single venue! The World’s Largest Swimming Lesson (World Waterpark Association) national organization sent the attached press release nationwide on Friday, June 20th, 2014. The event made the front page of the Naples Daily News on Saturday, June 21st, 2014.  Over 1,300 children and adults participated in this global event at the Sun n Fun Lagoon.

Words cannot express our gratitude to all of  the agencies and volunteers for helping us to make Friday’s event a great success! Collier County is very blessed to have these many agencies/people willing to do anything to make our community safer.
